Costs and Convenience Fee

The Register of Deeds Office, as authorized by State Statute, charges a fee of $2.00 for the first page, and $1.00 for each additional page for a copy of a document recorded in the Office.

Copies purchased through this web site are not certified. Contact the Register of Deeds Office on how to obtain a certified copy.

Document Number

Use this search when you know the number of the document you want to view. By providing a valid document number as search criteria, you bring up a page which displays details about the document.
  1. Type the document number assigned by the Register of Deeds office.
  2. By checking the "Return only documents that are final" box, you may limit your search to records where the document is available for purchase.
  3. Click the Search button.
If the document number you supply is found detail information about the document is displayed. If you don't know the document number or the Vol and Page, or it is not found, try searching by name or legal description.

To purchase a copy of the document, click on the "Order Document" button. The document will be added to your shopping cart and may be viewed on-line after your credit card payment is processed.

Grantor/Grantee

Use this search when you want to view documents that reference a particular grantor/grantee (buyer/seller) name. By providing all or part of the name as search criteria, you bring up a results list of matched documents sorted by name.
  1. Type the name or partial name you are searching for in the format shown (i.e. last name, first name)
  2. Use the Last Name field to enter the name of a business.
  3. You may limit your search to names that are either Grantor or Grantee by checking the appropriate box. Leaving both boxes unchecked will result in a search that returns matching names, whether Grantee or Grantor.
  4. By default, a maximum number of 50 records are returned for a search. You may increase the number of returned items by clicking on the list box.
  5. By checking the "Return only documents that are final" box, you may limit your search to records where the document is available for purchase.
  6. Click the Search button.
Any documents found matching your search criteria will be listed on a Results page in order by name and document number.

Legal Description

Use this search to find documents that reference a particular legal description. By providing all or part of the legal description as search criteria, you can bring up a resulting list of matched documents sorted by legal description and document number.
  1. Metes & Bounds. Choose any combination of the quarter-quarter using the list box, type in the Section number, and use the list box to enter the Town and Range.
  2. CSM (Certified Survey Map number). Type in the CSM number, if known. Leading zeroes are not necessary.
  3. Plat/Condominium. Use the list box to select a specific Plat or Condiminium.
  4. Block. Type in the Block number, if applicable.
  5. Lot. Use the list box to select the type of Lot. Choices are Enter the number of the lot in the next box.
  6. By default, a maximum number of 50 records are returned for a search. You may increase the number of returned items by clicking on the list box.
  7. By checking the "Return only documents that are final" box, you may limit your search to records where the document is available for purchase.
  8. Click the Search button.
Any documents found matching your search criteria will be listed on a Results Page in order by document number.

Additional Search Options

The Grantor/Grantee and Legal Description search options provide additional search criteria to narrow the results of your search.
  1. Starting date. Click on the left calendar icon to select the beginning date to narrow your search to only those documents recorded in the Register of Deed's office on or after the date you supply (example format: 1/11/2006).
  2. Ending Date. Click on the right calendar icon to select the ending date to narrow your search to only those documents filed in the Register of Deed's office on or before the date you supply (example format: 1/11/2006).
  3. Sort Order. Use the list box to select the order in which results will be listed. Your results may be ordered as either Newest First or Oldest First.
  4. Instrument Type. A comprehensive list of Instrument Types is provided. You may select either one or more Instrument Types in order to narrow your search. By default, all instrument types will be included in a search.

Document Detail Screen

The Document Detail Screen lists important information contained in the document, such as



When you add a document to your cart, the Shopping Cart summary screen is displayed. This screen lists the documents that you have added to your cart, the number of pages, the cost of each individual document, and the total cost of all documents which you have added to your cart.

Purchasing A Document

To purchase a copy of a document, you must first add it to your shopping cart. To add a document to your shopping cart, click on the Order Document button which is located at the top left of the Document Detail Screen.



When you add a document to your cart, the Shopping Cart summary screen is displayed. This screen lists the documents that you have added to your cart, the number of pages, the cost of each individual document, and the total cost of all documents which you have added to your cart.



Checking Out. Once you click on the Checkout button, a preliminary receipt will be displayed. Review this receipt for accuracy.



You may either cancel the checking out process and continue shopping, or you may proceed to the credit card information screen by clicking on the Next button.

When you click on the Next button, you will be taken to the Official Payments Corporation payment portal where you will enter your credit card and billing information.
NOTE: A convenience fee of $3.00 per transaction will be added to your credit card transaction by Official Payments Corporation.
